Bucket of Suck

I shit you not …. ten 5gallon buckets of water sucked up from the lazarettes! Took 20 minutes to get the job done all courtesy of the huge storm that swept through Fort Lauderdale. This is only a reprieve. We know two more storms are converging and on their way so it will be the fore-mentioned task all over again. I stayed up the majority of the night due to the high winds, driving rain and tight quarters of the anchorage just holding my breath hoping not to drag anchor or be dragged into. On a positive note, we discovered that by opening our water catchment we can fill both water tanks with a single storm! Boat life is not all sandy beaches and stunning reefs. I’m a dirty girl from head to toe attempting to keep my home clean. Remember me saying that this lifestyle is not for the weak of heart?
